FAQs about hotels in Playa de las Americas

A Year-Long Party

The undisputed Tenerife party capital, Playa de las Américas is a year-round resort of sun, sand and sizzling nightlife. At the foot of volcanic mountains stretching up to Mount Teide, its long beach is made of imported golden sand. Tenerife’s natural beaches, such as the one in northern Puerto de la Cruz, are actually black sand.

Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas' neighbors, also have golden beaches, and all are lapped by warm, turquoise waters. Water sports are always popular here, and the area features Siam Park with its hair-raising waterslides, rapids and a host of swimming pools. There’s even a wave pool where you can surf!

Outdoor pools are also found at the Playa de las Américas accommodations on Booking.com, including 5-star resorts, cheap hotels and self-catering apartments. Aqualand has yet more flumes and pools, as well as a dolphinarium.

Dolphins and whales can also be spotted on boat trips along the coast. Other activities include Golf Las Américas, the Canaries’ largest golf course.

But it’s what happens after dark that’s the biggest draw. The Patch complex has family-friendly bars with food, while the bars, clubs and casinos of the Starco shopping center and Verónicas strip only really get hopping after midnight.

the golden mile was good playa del camison was good though lacked public toilets, far too many street peddlars who interrupted your meals, and refused to take no for an answer, and my brother was robbed by 2 black men on the 1st. day there in day light by playa de las vistas.sad to say the 9 day stay had very little sun.

I spent a week in Teneriffe, I travelled with my sister so we had a bed room each. it could easily sleep 4 - 5 people. The apartment was a perfect location, access to everything and still very private. Great to have 2 bathrooms. Lots of space outside to sit out and enjoy the evenings. Washing machine means you dont have to bring alot of clothes with you, We really enjoyed our stay in Teneriffe Pearl and would definately go back again.

I have been visiting the Island for over 30 years and I have never had a bad visit. Siam Park is a must!!!! Best bar is the Brahms and Liszt on the Parque de la paz strip fabulous place with the best staff on the island Best restaurants are Little Italy Pompeii, Vegas grill and Pier 8. The only issue now with Tenerife is the taxis from the airport as the queues now are ridiculous.

We normally stay in Adeje but because of the steep hills that are unavoidable decided to try Las Americas. We were last there in the 90s and were pleasantly surprised how upmarket it has become. Obviously lots of investment has been made and we have rebooked our holiday for next year.

for a Nordic person, tired of sunless days Playa de las Americas is the perfect destination even in the month of February! Several perfect sandy or rocky beaches, walking distance form one each other....The place is filled with nice restaurants, bars and terraces; The location is a paradise for family and non-kids alike! As a family we spent also amazing times with kids in both water parks available (free busses to the location) zoo and delfinario!

The location for the hotel is amazing, I booked the sea side view room and the view was absolutely stunning. Watching the sunset while sitting on the balcony was mesmerizing and so beautiful. Would highly recommend getting a room with a sea side view. The staff was amazing and kind, when there was an issue they resolved it as soon as possible. Although the manger there needs to find another work to do, as he did not seem as welcoming as the other staff members - luckily I had little interactions with that person.

The staff made sure that the rooms and hotel would always stay clean. The food was nice and there was a variety of choice but could be better if they had more vegetarian options. Two swimming pools were open for guests and were both clean. The snack/bar was good for all inclusive guests which they could have unlimited drinks. Most of the staff were friendly but they were strict about keeping face masks on at all times (expect when eating and at the pool). Overall, holidays were great.

Big room, good kitchen with everything you need. private parking! In general parking in Playa America's is a big problem, so private parking is a Huge plus. Location is very good, it's 600m from one of the warmest beaches, cheap Dialprix supermarket right near the hotel, Hyperdino 10 mins from hotel. nice pool, nice view from balcony. Surprisingly good hot and cold water pressure.

Liked the house very much. Sitting in the sun in the morning was lovely. The cleaning staff was really nice. The lobby staff were ok but not very nice. Our flight was late and when we came on sunday in the evening at 21 o'clock we could not get anything to eat or drink on the hotel. But we had paid all inclusive for all 5 of us for sunday and all the other days.
